• Taught by Georgios Jakobides, Ludwig von Löfftz and Désiré-Loucas.
• Was a founding member of “Team Art” («Ομάδα Τέχνη»), a notable grouping of important artists that aimed to break the yoke of conservative academia over art in Athens.
• Most of his works were destroyed in a flood. He lived his subsequent years in unrelenting poverty, even giving private art lessons to make a living; more than two thirds of his surviving works were sold extremely cheaply during these difficult later years.
