Palatial contributions
- This famous portraitist graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Venice, where he also worked at a number of points in his career. Italian influences are obvious in his work. He is best remembered for his portraits of heroes from the Greek revolution.
- In 1870, he was charged by George Ist with decorating the palaces of Greece.
- He was a teacher of the Fine Art School of Athens, and counts Vikatos, Geraniotis and Ferbos among his students.
