Through his artistic research, his seamless and diverse experimentation, through gestures, engravings, the dynamic coexistence of form and color, with restless strong direct manipulation of matter, Kessanlis deletes and reveals at the same time traces of existence. Breaking with the traditional pictorial concept he explores the limits of painting and the conditions of existence, the inherent expressive value of the gesture, the material, the shaping and the deconstruction of the image and creates works /palimpsests, fragments of the personal mythology of each of us.
