An impressive representative work of the multifarious artist Υannis Gaitis in which he once again negotiates the recognizable shape as he often did in varied ways. Earthy oil green, warm yellow, unifying blue and heated red and lastly the attractive blue background constitute as many zones as divide the storyline, fundamentally articulating the work as they stabilize its entire structure. Flowers and birds inhabit the two-dimensional painting surface, serving as symbols that reduce the narratives and episodes of the shapes to WORDS.  The uncompromising Greek modernist of international renown creates, almost caricaturing, a cryptographed visual history on the painting surface. He places the caricature-forms in geometric enclosures, making them a means of irony and social criticism. The suggestive, disproportionate form of the birds visually stresses the leitmotiv and the non-judgmental acceptance of edicts and stereotypes, as much as the simultaneous existence of nature, which breaks them down.
