The artist poetically conducts a harmonious dialogue between memory, history and the present, commenting on the portent of the cultural legacy of modern Greece. He executes an idealistic depiction of a beautiful assemble operating with elements borrowed from the harmony and simplicity of ancient sculpture the simple design of classical pottery and the two-dimensional frontal depiction of Byzantine hagiography. The purity of lines and earthy colors are applied to uniform volumes unmarred by light play and tonal gradations. The shapes participate in a game of pictorial volumes rooted as they are in a simple design with no unessential elements.
